How to Cancel Soon Premium on Google Play
To cancel Soon Premium, open your subscriptions in Google Play, select Soon, tap Cancel subscription, and complete the confirmation steps. Deleting Soon does not cancel the subscription. You can start from Google Play or use Manage subscription in Soon’s Settings.
Cancel through Google Play on Android
Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, and open Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Check that you are using the Google Account that purchased Soon Premium. Select the Soon subscription, tap Cancel subscription, and follow the remaining prompts. Keep going until Google Play confirms the cancellation; opening the subscription details alone does not finish it. Google Play Help’s cancellation guide describes this process. If you have several countdown apps, check the subscription name against your purchase receipt before choosing one.
Find Manage subscription inside Soon
On Soon’s main screen, tap the Settings gear. Scroll below the Soon Premium card to Manage subscription, just below Restore purchases. This opens Google Play’s subscription list, where you still need to select Soon and complete the cancellation. Soon does not have a separate cancellation form. The Premium purchase screen does not include a Manage subscription link. If that screen is open, scroll down to Continue with Free to leave it, then open Settings. If the management link does not open, use the Play Store route above.
Check that renewal has stopped
After completing the prompts, reopen Soon’s subscription details in Google Play. Check the cancellation status and the date your access ends, and save a screenshot for your records. Continued Premium access does not by itself mean the cancellation failed: Google’s subscription lifecycle guidance distinguishes cancellation from expiration. For an ordinary paid subscription, access continues through the remaining paid period. If Google Play still shows an upcoming renewal, return to the cancellation flow rather than assuming that leaving Soon or closing a screen stopped it.
Does deleting Soon cancel its subscription?
No. Uninstalling Soon removes the app from your phone; it does not end the Google Play subscription. Google Play Help’s troubleshooting guide explicitly says that an uninstalled app’s subscription still needs to be canceled. You do not need to reinstall Soon to do this: open Google Play and manage the subscription there. If you deleted the app some time ago and have since been charged, check your purchase history as well as the subscription status. Handle the existing charge separately from stopping future renewals.
If Soon is missing from your subscription list
Start by checking the purchasing account. Google Play sends a purchase confirmation to the Google Account used for the transaction, so look for the original Soon receipt. In the Play Store, tap your profile picture, open the account selector, and switch to that account. Then check Subscriptions again. Google Play Help’s account and missing-subscription guides explain these checks. An empty list under one account is not proof that renewal has stopped. If the receipt names a different countdown app, use that app’s subscription entry rather than looking for Soon.
Cancel a trial before it becomes a paid subscription
If your Soon subscription includes a trial, check its end date in Google Play and cancel before it expires if you do not want the paid period to begin. Google Play Help’s subscription guide explains that accepted trials lead into paid billing unless canceled. Soon’s subscription notice asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, so act ahead of that point rather than waiting until the last moment. Use the terms attached to your own subscription; do not assume that another person’s trial length applies to you.
What happens to Premium access after cancellation?
Canceling a regular renewal normally leaves Premium available for the time already paid for. Check Google Play for the end date that applies to your subscription. Some locations or cancellation options can affect when access ends, so read the confirmation before accepting it. You can keep Soon installed while the remaining access runs out. If Google Play shows that you still have access but Soon does not recognize it, open Soon’s Settings and try Restore purchases. That checks an existing purchase; it does not submit a cancellation request.
Cancel without the original phone
You can use the Google Play website on a computer. Sign in with the purchasing Google Account and open its Subscriptions section. Find Soon, click Manage, choose Cancel subscription, select a reason when prompted, and continue through the confirmation. This route also works when you cannot open Soon or have already removed it. Check the selected Google Account on the website, especially if the computer uses a different account from your phone. You do not need access to Soon’s Settings to manage the Google Play subscription.
If you were already charged or need help
For an existing charge, open the Play Store’s profile menu, then Payments & subscriptions and Budget & history. Compare the Soon order with your receipt and cancellation record. To request money back, use Google Play Help’s Request a refund process. On the Google Play website, its instructions also offer Budget & order history, then Report a problem beside the relevant order. Refund eligibility depends on the purchase, timing, payment method, and location; cancellation alone does not guarantee a refund. For a Soon purchase-access problem, contact support@hugosoftware.net with the order reference and a description of what happened.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to contact Soon before canceling?
No. You can cancel a Google Play subscription directly in Google Play. Contact Soon support if you need help with the app or with access to an existing purchase.
Does Continue with Free cancel an active subscription?
No. Continue with Free closes Soon’s Premium purchase screen. If you already subscribed, that button does not change the subscription’s renewal settings in Google Play.
Does Reset app stop subscription payments?
No. Soon’s Reset app control resets local app content and settings; it does not cancel Google Play billing. Avoid using it to solve a subscription problem, because it also clears your saved photos.
Will removing my payment card stop renewal?
Cancel the subscription instead. Removing a card is not a cancellation request, and Google Play may use an enabled backup payment method if the primary method fails.
What if I cannot sign in to the purchasing Google Account?
Use Google Account recovery through Google’s account help. Switching to another account will not reveal the missing purchase. Google Play Help’s account guide provides a route for sign-in problems.
Count down to the moments that matter. Soon puts your next big day on your home screen: a countdown widget that ticks toward weddings, trips, exams and reunions, with photo covers and gentle reminders. Set it once, and the wait becomes part of the joy.
